FAQ

Answers to common questions about selling your LEGO collection, consignment fees, valuations, shipping, and payment.

What items can I consign?

You can consign genuine LEGO sets, parts, minifigures, and bulk bricks that you legally own.

How are consignment fees calculated?

New sets, minifigures, and bulk bricks are charged 25% of Net Sales. Used sets are charged 40% of Net Sales. Net Sales is the sale price after sales tax, postage, marketplace fees, and applicable replacement-part costs are deducted.

What happens after I send my items?

Stud City Bricks checks the shipment against the item list within two weeks, corrects any differences, and then catalogs, prices, and lists accepted items on selected sales channels.

How are used sets prepared for sale?

Used sets are disassembled, checked piece by piece, and completed with replacement parts when needed. Those replacement-part costs are deducted from Net Sales.

When will I be paid?

For consignment the first payment is made one month after the first item sells. After that, payments are made monthly for prior-month sales.

How is the selling price set?

Items are generally priced around their average sold price over the previous six months, with adjustments when seasonality or market demand supports it. A sale is not guaranteed.

Who owns my items while they are consigned?

You keep ownership until an item sells. Title passes directly to the buyer at the time of sale.

Can I request my items back?

Yes. Send written notice, including by email. Return shipping is your responsibility, and special preparation costs may apply if work has already started on a used set.

What happens if an item never sells?

After 12 months, Stud City Bricks may lower the price or ask you to receive the items back.

Who pays for shipping and shipping supplies?

Stud City Bricks pays inbound postage when using its carrier account or an available pickup. Buyer postage is deducted from Net Sales, while boxes, packing materials, labels, and delivery to the carrier are not deducted.

How quickly can I get paid for a collection?

Payment will be made within 48 hours of receiving a collection via third party. This gives us time to verify everything and address any discrepancies. For orders received in person payment will be made immediately.

Do you offer retail contracts?

Retailers and businesses can contact Stud City Bricks to discuss a possible purchasing arrangement. Terms, pricing, and payment timing are reviewed for each opportunity.

Can you handle large collections?

Yes. Share details about the collection, including its approximate size, types of LEGO items, location, and whether the items are new or used. Stud City Bricks can then discuss the best next step.

Is collection pickup available?

Pickup may be available depending on the location. Stud City Bricks can also arrange inbound shipping using its carrier account when applicable.
