Meet the Guy Behind the Bricks
I’m David Loncar, and Stud City Bricks started the way a lot of LEGO businesses do: with a bin of bricks and an eBay account. In 2012 I started selling sets, parts, and minifigures out of my home in Northeast Ohio. Over the years that grew into a serious side business. In 2019 I opened stores on BrickLink and Brick Owl, and since then I’ve sorted, priced, and shipped hundreds of thousands of LEGO items to builders and collectors worldwide.
That experience taught me what a collection is really worth, and I don’t just mean the price tag. A retired set with every piece, a minifigure in perfect condition, a tub of mixed bricks someone has kept since childhood: each needs a different approach to sell well. I know how to check a used set piece by piece, how to price against what’s actually selling, and which marketplace will get the best result for each item.
In 2026 I relaunched Stud City Bricks as an LLC with a simple goal. I want to give collectors, families, and estates a trustworthy option when it’s time to part with their LEGO. You can sell your collection to me outright, or consign it and let me handle the cataloging, photography, listing, and shipping while you keep the larger share of each sale. Either way, you’ll know my terms up front, and you’ll be dealing with me directly, not a call center.
I’m an Eagle Scout, and I run this business by the same values: be honest, do the work right, and treat other people’s things with respect. If you have a collection you’re thinking about selling, big or small, sealed or well-loved, I’d be glad to take a look.
